A door has opened to deploy to Dominica.
September 18th, Catagory 5 storm Hurricane Maria slammed the island nation of Dominica. Finally a door has opened for us to deploy. The 6-8 person team will depart Martinique on January 24th for a two day sail aboard the 53 foot, Anni Bea True to Dominica.
The mission is to bring relief, rebuild a roof on a church in Portsmouth, minister to local believers and have as much fun as we can. CRI Responders will return to the boat daily at 4pm to swim, dive, eat and sleep. We are putting together a team quickly, space is limited and time is short.
Must have a completed and updated RLS Profile with CRI badge with current responder level. (Includes background check) Click here for RLS Profile.
Must have valid passport six months beyond return date of trip.
One small backpack allowed on board per person. Must bring closed toe shoes, work gloves, sunscreen, travel towel, bathing suit, flipflops, toiletries, medications, hat, sunglasses. Responder must have and wear CRI shirts on daily on deployment (one comes with registration).
Must be flexible, remain teachable, have a good sense of humor and know how to swim 🙂
The cost of the trip is $2699 and covers your round-trip airfare, meals, lodging, ground transport, fees and one CRI Responder shirt. Limited spots available. First come first serve basis. Trip deposit of $1000.00 must be paid by 10am, Tuesday the 9th. Trip balance of $1699 must be paid by 10am Tuesday the 23rd.
