I would like to share some exciting news of where CRI is heading in 2012 with our partners, responders and friends but first let’s do a quick recap of 2011… we deployed to Raleigh (NC), Cleveland (TN) and Joplin (MO) in response to those who survived the massive tornado outbreaks.
We trained in: Triangle (VA), Big Bear Lake (CA), Kansas City (MO) and an Advanced Training in Israel focused on theaters of war and terrorism. This year has brought us many wonderful new friends and hundreds of newly trained responders who are ready to deploy to crisis. In addition, new CRUs (Crisis Response Units) of CRI started up in Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, Brazil, Uganda and several more in California. Be watching for our 2012 DRT schedule!
We are presently at the half-way mark of the ARC Intensive in the high desert of California. The school is designed to raise up crisis missionaries with an Apostolic Response to Crisis and multiply full-time staff. Next week we send a team to Ohio to join the West Virginia CRU to host the next DRT (Disaster Relief Training). In November we will be sending a team to Japan in response to the earthquake, tsunami, nuclear disaster and the recent typhoons.
Where are we going? In November we have the opportunity of participating in the CALL2ALL Congress in L.A. where we have the opportunity to share to 6000 missionaries from 250 nations the vision for getting trained and reaching the harvest in crisis!
February we will be hosting an ARC School in South Point, Hawaii. The ARC School is designed to help students develop an Apostolic Response to Crisis, become crisis missionaries and short/long-term staff. This next ARC School will be in an intense off-grid school in the jungle with a focus on training & mobilization in and to the “Ring of Fire Nations”. Students will be encouraged to deploy to crisis, join or start a CRU (chapter), or join staff to help us train and mobilize others. We are now interviewing responders to become staff in the school. Registration for this event will be open soon!
What we need. As we head into this international endeavor to train and mobilize end-time disaster relief missionaries we want to let you know that your partnership is critical. Maybe you can’t come train and deploy but you can be a part of the team by giving and sending! Will you help launch us into this new assignment from God?
We urgently need to purchase a 40′ certified shipping container ($3500) to send training gear and supplies to South Point (HI). Secondly, we need $10,000 to ship this container. This gear is the essential infrastructure we will need to set up a base of operations for international training and mobilization purposes in this off-grid jungle setting.
Third and most importantly, we are looking for monthly financial partners who believe in the mission of CRI and want to partner with us. You are helping to train and mobilize crisis missionaries and responders. You are reaching the harvest in the midst of crisis. For that and for your prayers, we thank you!
Please consider CRI for your year-end giving!
