Crisis Response International Director Sean Malone shares his heart from the Philippines
Reaching the ONE – Today our team found a fatherless boy curled up in a corner of the evacuation center. He hasn’t spoken since the trauma of the flooding. They ministered the love of God to him, and he began to speak. He and his mother are terrified, and the team feels the great need to build a home for them.
He was frightened … Terrified in a corner. We told him of the Father’s love; I told him I wish I could be his father and make him safe. He cried and spoke a few words for the first time since the flood. My heart is broken for this boy. We made progress but we have to get him out of that shelter. A few hundred a month could probably get him out of there.
This IS Isaiah 1:16-17.
